Week 5 – Project 52 | Raleigh NC Family Photographer

In case you missed it, click here for week 4.  This morning after a crazy week of record low temperatures in North Carolina and snow that closed school for 4 days, we woke up this morning to 60 degree weather and the sun shining bright!  I knew I wanted to take advantage of this beautiful day, so the hubby and I took our little munchkin to Pullen Park for the first time.  How have we lived in Raleigh for 6 months now and still haven’t been here?!  It was a ton of fun!

Brayden LOVED watching the ducks at the pond.  Here he is in awe of these funny swimming creatures…

After we were done with the duckies we went over to the big playground area.  I think he enjoyed running around the most, but his second favorite was the swings.  Daddy kept making him laugh and make silly faces…

Finally, the best part of this park was the train!  Anyone that knows my son knows he is obsessed with trains.  They have this big train that goes all around the park.  Brayden was so excited watching the train go by and waving hello, and then he even got to ride the train!  Unfortunately, I only had my 85mm lens on me, which was not ideal for taking pictures while we were riding on the train in such a tight space.  However, I was able to snap a quick picture when we first got on the train of him sitting patiently while we waited for the train to leave the station.

We had so much fun today!  If you live in the Raleigh area, I would 100% recommend taking your kids to Pullen Park.  There is just so much to do and see there!
