What to wear for your engagement session? A Casual Look

So far for my “What to Wear?” series I’ve posted a classic engagement session outfit and a bold engagement session outfit, but both looks had more of a dressed up feel.  This week I’m posting a look that is simple, casual,  but still fun!

For this look, I went with earthy tones, browns, yellow and an orange-red color.  I love the idea of having your man in a fun plaid patterned shirt while the girl sticks with solid colors.  This doesn’t mean she has to be boring though!  I paired a plain brown shirt with a fun bright yellow scarf and shoes to bring some color into the mix.  I think it all really comes together nicely and is a great look for a casual outdoor session!

What to wear for your engagement session? A Bold Look

Last week I put together simple and classic engagement session outfit to help give you ideas on what to wear for your engagement session.  This week I went in the opposite direction and used one of my favorite colors, red.  Perfect for Valentine’s Day!

While the outfits themselves are still simple and elegant, this bright red dress is the focal point and will really make a statement.   Because the dress is so bold, I paired it with a cute and simple gold heart jewelry set.

 For the guys, I went with a pair of black pants, and a black t-shirt with a grey blazer.  That red dress is so stunning I kept they guy simple so as not take away from it.

Finally, to finish it off, I added matching pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes!  These shoes are to die for and while every girl dreams of a pair of Louboutins in her closet, if Louboutins are out of your budget (as they are mine!) any pair of plain black pumps and black shoes for the guys will do!

What to Wear for Your Engagement Session? The Classic Look

Figuring out what to wear for your photography session seems to stress people out way more than it should.  Trust me, I know!  This past fall we had our own family photos done for the first time and it took me weeks to put together our outfits.  So to help you out a little, today is the first of a series of “What to Wear for Your Engagement Session?” posts I’ll be doing on my blog to give you some inspiration when planning outfits.  Be sure to be on the look out every couple of weeks for a new one!

This week I put together some inspiration for a simple classic engagement session look that can be very versatile when it comes to your locations.  I went with a simple white lace dress for the ladies with blush pink and gold accents.  For the men, a simple light grey button up shirt with dark grey pants and a blush pink tie to finish it off and tie the two outfits together.  It’s a beautifully simple classic look with a few fun pieces to really make you stand out!
