The further along I get in this pregnancy, the more I can’t help but notice how quickly my little man is growing up. I’m sure every mother goes through this the second time around, that feeling of having to give up one “baby” to bring another into the world. While I know that’s not how it works and Brayden will always be my baby boy, the time of him being our “only” is coming to an end and it’s making me want to cherish every bit of him over these next couple of months.
The fact that Brayden has matured so much this year in every way possible doesn’t really help. He is getting taller, talking so much more, playing pretend in a way I’ve never seen him do before, really listening when I talk to him and asking questions about the world. I feel like this all happened over night! He is becoming a little boy who is full of personality! He is as silly as a little boy should be and makes us laugh all the time. He is constantly going, and keeps us on our toes. He is the sweetest little thing, saying hi to everyone and being so polite saying please and thank you. Even when he has his bad days, he always says he’s sorry.
The one thing I am most proud of when it comes to my little man is how incredibly full of LOVE he is. He gives the best hugs and kisses and he loves on his Mama, Dada, puppy Leo, and his little sister Peyton (in Mama’s belly) all day long. I can tell how excited he is for his baby sister to arrive and it’s the cutest thing ever. He always says hello, goodbye, and goodnight with big hugs and kisses. He makes my heart burst all day long!
Things will be changing in a few months, and while this little girl is going to bring so much joy into our family, I want to make sure I remember him right now, the way he is in these last few months as a family of three. Our baby boy who fills our hearts with so much love each and every day, and always will.
It’s finally spring time! The temperatures are rising, the flowers and trees are blooming, and the days are getting longer. I don’t know about you, but this makes me SO EXCITED! I was just starting to go a little stir crazy from what seemed like a long winter, but then spring showed up just in time.
I’m also so excited to announce that I’ll be offering spring family mini sessions now through June 20, 2015! This is a great opportunity to update those family photos, especially as the weather is getting nicer and everything is blooming. For those that have done mini sessions in the past, I’ve decided to switch things up a bit. Rather than having one or two days of mini sessions at specific locations, I’ve opened up a number of days and times from now through June 20 that are available to book mini-sessions. You will also have various options for locations. There are still a limited number of mini-sessions available, so if you’re interested be sure to contact me ASAP!

It’s been a busy first few months here in Raleigh, NC, but the family and I are loving it! I finally have some time to blog my recent sessions, so be on the lookout for more posts in the coming week!
I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Anne and her adorable little girl Bailey! I met them at their home in Cary, NC. We were able to take the photographs right at the little pond down the street from their house. They were both a pleasure to work with, and Bailey was the perfect little model! She is such a happy baby and with that big smile and those beautiful blue eyes, she made my job so easy. It usually takes a lot of effort to get a little 7 month old to not only sit still, but to also smile for the camera. Not Bailey! She was a natural and I was able to catch so many amazing smiles! She even lasted almost a full two hours!
They are a beautiful little family and I hope to have the opportunity to photograph them again in the future!
Seriously, look at those eyes! She’s going to be a heartbreaker when she gets older!
